Job Title: Senior Hospitality Associate Attorney
Job Overview: A distinguished law firm located in Spokane, WA, is seeking a dynamic Senior Hospitality Transactions Associate to join its expanding Hospitality, Travel & Tourism group. This opportunity offers the chance to work closely with a seasoned practice leader on a broad range of commercial matters, including marketing, distribution, IT/IS agreements, procurement, and privacy/data security. The ideal candidate will bring industry-specific experience and a client-centered mindset to serve a diverse array of hospitality and travel industry clients, ranging from global hotel brands to cruise lines and travel agencies.
Duties:
Advise hospitality and travel sector clients on operational and commercial transactional matters
Draft, negotiate, and review a range of IT/IS, procurement, marketing, and distribution agreements
Provide strategic counsel on privacy, data protection, and intellectual property issues
Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal support teams in delivering client solutions
Conduct research, analysis, and draft advisory memoranda on emerging regulatory and industry developments
Contribute to maintaining client relationships through a business-minded and service-driven approach
Participate in pro bono and public service initiatives aligned with firm values
Requirements:
5-8 years of hands-on experience in commercial transactions
Exposure to marketing, distribution, and procurement issues within the hospitality, lodging, or travel sectors
Familiarity with intellectual property, privacy, and data security laws is highly preferred
Superior research, writing, analytical, and communication abilities
Strong commitment to client service and responsiveness
Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across departments
Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Admission to the Bar in good standing
Skills:
Advanced drafting and negotiation techniques for commercial agreements
Deep understanding of hospitality industry business practices
Analytical thinking and practical problem-solving
High proficiency in managing complex client matters with minimal supervision
