A law firm is seeking a Bankruptcy Associate Attorney in Buffalo, NY.

Job Overview:

The Bankruptcy Associate Attorney will represent commercial debtors, creditors, lenders, and other constituents in bankruptcy proceedings, both in and outside of court.

Duties:

  • Represent commercial debtors, creditors, lenders, and other constituents in bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Conducted legal research and drafted legal documents related to bankruptcy cases.
  • Attend court hearings and proceedings on behalf of clients.
  • Negotiate and mediate with opposing parties to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding bankruptcy laws and procedures.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in bankruptcy law.
  • Admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of New York.
  • Experience working with commercial debtors, creditors, lenders, and other constituents in bankruptcy cases.
  • Strong understanding of bankruptcy laws and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in the state and federal courts of New York.

Skills:

  • Legal research and writing.
  • Litigation and courtroom experience.
  • Negotiation and mediation skills.
  • Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
