A law firm is currently seeking a qualified Senior Private Equity Debt Finance Associate Attorney for their New York City office. The ideal candidate should possess 5-8 years of relevant experience and demonstrate a strong background in representing private equity sponsors, banks, and private credit lenders. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating term and revolving loan facilities for leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, and corporate growth. The Senior Private Equity Debt Finance Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support in the areas of private equity, with a focus on term and revolving loan facilities. The position requires a seasoned professional with excellent academic credentials, significant law firm experience, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

 

Duties:

  • Represent private equity sponsors, banks, and private credit lenders in connection with term and revolving loan facilities for leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, and corporate growth.
  • Draft and negotiate commitment papers, credit agreements, and collateral documents.
  • Provide legal counsel on complex financial transactions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate successful transactions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in relevant laws.

 

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience in private equity debt finance or related field.
  • Outstanding academic credentials and comparable law firm experience.
  • Relevant Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Bar admission in Washington, DC or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.

 

Skills:

  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
