Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Buffalo is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will collaborate with partners and other associates on a variety of commercial litigation and business dispute resolution matters, demonstrating exceptional research, writing, and advocacy skills.

Duties:

• Work directly with partners and other associates on commercial litigation and business dispute resolution matters
• Conduct legal research and writing
• Draft pleadings and dispute complex motions
• Prepare witnesses for testimony
• Take and defend depositions
• Assist in trial or arbitration preparation
• Participate in oral arguments and court appearances
• Prepare discovery documents

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in New York
• 1-3 years of business and commercial litigation experience
• Highly motivated with excellent academic credentials
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal

Education:

Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Must be licensed to practice law in New York
