Mid-level Chemical Science Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney

A law firm in Boston is seeking a Mid-level Chemical Science Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing complex and sensitive client work, including preparing patent applications and responses to communications from the USPTO. The role requires a high level of professional capability, superb writing and communication skills, and a commitment to delivering quality legal services in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Duties:

• Prepare draft patent applications and draft responses to USPTO communications.
• Assist attorneys in delivering quality legal services to clients efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Handle highly complex and sensitive client work with a high level of professional capability and skill.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.
• Degree in organic chemistry or chemical engineering.
• High level of academic achievement.
• The solid law firm, engineering, or industry experience.

Education:

• JD and admission to the USPTO.
• Advanced degrees in organic chemistry or chemical engineering are preferred.

Certifications:

Admission to the USPTO.
