Job Overview:

The Insurance Defense Associate Attorney will handle insurance defense litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in insurance defense litigation, focusing on pretrial filings in complex litigation areas such as construction, mass torts, personal injury claims, and product liability.

Duties:

• Handle insurance defense litigation matters from inception to resolution
• Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses
• Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders
• Manage case files and deadlines efficiently

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of significant insurance defense litigation experience
• Familiarity with pretrial filings in complex litigation areas, including construction, mass torts, personal injury claims, and product liability
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school
• Strong writing and analytical skills
• Admission to the Washington State Bar

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Washington State Bar
