Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Family Law Associate to join their team in New York. Duties

• Handle diverse family law matters for a varied client base.
• Manage divorce cases involving complex financial disputes and property division.
• Draft, review, and negotiate marital agreements.
• Represent clients in child custody and visitation matters.
• Provide advice on child support, adoption, and guardianship issues.
• Navigate international family law matters, including cross-border custody.
• Prepare and file court pleadings and legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on family law changes.
• Contribute to business development activities and build networks.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a law firm's family law group.
• New York Bar membership in good standing.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent drafting, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
• In-depth analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Team player with a collaborative approach.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Admitted to practice law in New York.
