Job Overview: A law firm in Sarasota, FL, is seeking a Senior Private Client Services Associate Attorney with 5-15 years of relevant experience in estate planning, taxation, administration, and related services. The candidate will collaborate closely with a Partner who is Florida Bar Board Certified in Wills, Trusts, and Estates. International estate planning experience is a valuable asset for this role.

Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive legal counsel in estate planning, estate and gift taxation, and estate and trust administration.
  • Offer guidance and services to individuals, charitable organizations, foundations, and corporate fiduciaries, including banks and trust companies.
  • Collaborate with the Partner to ensure seamless client service and compliance with legal standards.
  • Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations affecting estate planning and taxation.

Requirements:

  • 5-15 years of relevant experience in estate planning, estate and gift taxation, and estate and trust administration.
  • Previous experience working with individuals, charitable organizations, foundations, and corporate fiduciaries.
  • Familiarity with international estate planning is a plus.
  • Membership in or willingness to become a member of the Florida Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • LLM in Tax or Estate Planning is preferred.

Certifications:

  • Florida Bar membership.

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
