The position involves managing a diverse caseload, including general liability, professional liability, and medical malpractice matters. Duties

  • Represent clients in a variety of civil defense matters, including general liability, medical malpractice, and professional liability

  • Manage cases independently from inception through trial

  • Draft and argue motions, including dispositive and procedural motions

  • Conduct depositions and witness preparation

  • Handle court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and trials

  • Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel

  • Collaborate with firm leadership and mentor junior attorneys as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of civil litigation experience

  • Prior trial experience strongly preferred

  • Ability to manage high-stakes cases independently

  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

  • Stable and consistent work history preferred

  • Commitment to providing exceptional client service and ethical representation

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Pennsylvania

  • Admission to federal court(s) is a plus
