Mid-Level Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a skilled mid-level commercial litigation associate attorney with 4-5 years of plaintiffs' and defense-side litigation experience. The ideal candidate should be proficient in drafting motions, managing fact and expert discovery, engaging in deposition and trial preparation, conducting depositions, cross-examinations, and oral advocacy. The role requires significant responsibility in matter management and direct interaction with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts. Judicial Clerkship experience is preferred, along with working fluency in Spanish. Duties:

• Drafting motions and legal documents related to commercial litigation cases.
• Managing fact and expert discovery processes.
• Preparation for depositions, trials, and hearings.
• Conducting depositions, cross-examinations, and other oral advocacy tasks.
• Assisting in the management of legal matters and case files.
• Interacting with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Researching legal issues and providing analysis and recommendations to senior attorneys.
• Collaborating with other team members to strategize and execute case objectives.

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of plaintiffs and defense-side litigation experience.
• Experience in drafting motions and handling discovery processes.
• Proficiency in deposition and trial preparation.
• Strong oral advocacy skills, including conducting depositions and cross-examinations.
• Judicial Clerkship experience preferred.
• Working fluency in Spanish is a plus.
• California Bar membership.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar.
