A law firm in Charleston, SC is seeking a skilled Real Estate Closing Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing residential and commercial real estate transactions, reviewing titles, and working with various stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions. This position offers the opportunity to deliver excellent client service, develop business relationships, and contribute to the growth of the firm.

 

Duties:

  • Oversee residential and commercial real estate transactions in the office, including sales and refinances.
  • Review titles and ensure clear ownership for buyers.
  • Work closely with lenders, brokers, agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate real estate transactions.
  • Draft and/or review legal documents such as contracts, deeds, leases, and purchase and sale agreements.
  • Deliver a professional and engaging experience to clients, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Review disbursement ledgers and sign checks for transactions.
  • Develop and cultivate business relationships for the firm's real estate practice.
  • Conduct training sessions for potential clients on relevant areas of real estate law.

 

Requirements:

  • Member in good standing of the South Carolina Bar.
  • Preferably have experience in closing real estate transactions.
  • Residential real estate experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate.
  • Excellent and prompt verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Member of the South Carolina State Bar (in good standing).

 

Skills:

  • Proficient in overseeing residential and commercial real estate transactions.
  • Ability to review and interpret titles for property ownership.
  • Strong drafting and review skills for legal documents.
