A law firm in Pittsburgh is seeking an Intellectual Property Associate Attorney who will be primarily responsible for patent preparation and prosecution in chemical and mechanical arts, design patent preparation and prosecution, trademark preparation and prosecution (including inter partes actions), IP due diligence in mergers and acquisitions, IP litigation support, and IP licensing. The role necessitates strong research and writing skills, along with exceptional project management abilities.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct patent preparation and prosecution in chemical and mechanical arts.
  • Handle design patent preparation and prosecution.
  • Manage trademark preparation and prosecution, including inter partes actions.
  • Perform IP due diligence in mergers and acquisitions.
  • Provide support for IP litigation matters.
  • Assist in IP licensing negotiations and agreements.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • 2-5 years of experience in intellectual property law.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Exceptional project management abilities.

 

Education:
