Job Title: Toxic Tort Associate Attorney
Job Location: Irvine, CA

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm, specializing in complex civil litigation, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its team within the asbestos practice group. This role is located in Irvine, CA, and offers the opportunity to handle both local and national accounts while working closely with senior attorneys and clients on challenging cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in toxic tort, environmental liability, or complex litigation, and a passion for delivering top-notch legal support.

Duties:

  • Independently manage a caseload of local and national accounts across California.
  • Conduct depositions and lead plaintiff/expert depositions.
  • Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial.
  • Review, analyze, and respond to discovery requests and pleadings.
  • Prepare court filings and e-file with accuracy.
  • Provide trial preparation and support.
  • Maintain accurate and timely time records.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in complex litigation, toxic tort liability, or environmental liability.
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in California.
  • Strong experience with motion practice and depositions.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage cases.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Ability to analyze and handle complex legal matters.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice in California.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of toxic tort, environmental, or complex litigation law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools and court filings.
