Job Overview: A law firm in Long Beach, CA, is seeking a Mid-level Environmental Law and Real Estate Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school and a California Bar license. They should possess comprehensive knowledge of real estate law, environmental law, and litigation, along with experience in conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and supporting various legal matters.

Duties:

  • Drafting legal documents, including access agreements, real property covenants, and other legal instruments.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis about environmental, real estate, and litigation matters.
  • Conducting preliminary case investigations and evaluations.
  • Participating in environmental litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions.
  • Guiding on compliance issues and regulatory requirements related to environmental and real estate matters.
  • Conducting due diligence for real estate transactions.
  • Providing support to senior attorneys on various legal matters.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • California Bar license.

Experience:

  • In-depth knowledge and some work experience with statutes, regulations, and common law related to soil and groundwater contamination, water quality, air quality, and/or climate change.
