Job Overview: The Senior Intellectual Property Patent Prosecution Attorney will be responsible for working closely with partners and clients in patent preparation, prosecution, portfolio management, and clearance matters. Additionally, they can mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the firm's growth and success.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with partners and clients on patent preparation, prosecution, portfolio management, and clearance matters.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior colleagues.
  • Conduct research and analysis on patent-related issues.
  • Draft legal documents, including patent applications and opinions.
  • Participate in client meetings and communications.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of experience in mechanical engineering work.
  • Experience in engines, transmissions, suspensions, electric drive trains, industrial automation, robotics, pumping technology, and/or consumer products.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (desired).
  • Patent Bar admission.
  • Indiana Bar admission or the ability to waive into Indiana.
