A law firm in Goose Creek, SC is seeking an experienced Real Estate Closing Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing residential and commercial real estate transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the process. This position offers the opportunity to work with various stakeholders, deliver exceptional client service, and contribute to the growth of the firm's real estate practice.

 

Duties:

  • Oversee residential and commercial real estate transactions, including sales and refinances, within the office.
  • Review titles for properties to ensure clear ownership and identify any potential issues.
  • Collaborate with lenders, brokers, agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate smooth and efficient real estate transactions.
  • Draft and/or review legal documents such as contracts, deeds, leases, and purchase and sale agreements.
  • Deliver a professional and engaging experience to clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during the closing process.
  • Review and manage the disbursement ledger, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Develop and cultivate business relationships to expand the firm's real estate client base.
  • Conduct training sessions for potential clients on relevant areas of real estate law and best practices.

 

Requirements:

  • Member in good standing of the South Carolina Bar.
  • Preferably have experience in closing real estate transactions.
  • Residential real estate experience is preferred; however, the firm is willing to train the right candidate.
  • Excellent and prompt verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Member of the South Carolina State Bar (in good standing).

 

Skills:

  • Proficient in overseeing residential and commercial real estate transactions.
  • Strong ability to review and interpret titles for property ownership.
  • Skill in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including contracts and deeds.
