Job Overview

A law firm seeks a team-oriented senior associate or junior partner to join the Energy Practice Group in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six years' experience and a strong background in nuclear regulatory law.

Duties

  • Appear before the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
  • Manage licensing and relicensing of nuclear power projects.
  • Oversee site planning for nuclear facilities.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and manage project transactions.
  • Handle environmental permitting processes.
  • Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Advise energy-sector clients effectively.

Requirements

  • Minimum of six years' experience in relevant legal practice.
  • Strong background in nuclear regulatory law.
  • Experience with NRC appearances and nuclear project licensing.
  • Proficiency in regulatory compliance and environmental permitting.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

  • Bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice.
