Job Duties:

  • Provide expert guidance on the PERM labor certification process, including strategy development and application preparation.
  • Conduct case evaluations to determine eligibility for PERM applications and advise clients accordingly.
  • Develop comprehensive PERM strategies aligned with clients' goals.
  • Review and analyze supporting documents to strengthen PERM applications.
  • Draft and review PERM-related forms, notices, and responses.
  • Prepare and file employment-based visa petitions and labor certification applications.
  • Conduct legal research on complex immigration issues.
  • Prepare legal documents to support immigration cases.
  • Represent clients in immigration proceedings and interviews.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Stay updated on changes in immigration laws and policies.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member of the NY State Bar in good standing.
  • 3+ years of experience practicing immigration law, with a focus on employment-based immigration and the PERM process.
  • 2+ years of experience practicing civil litigation law.

 

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge and experience with the PERM labor certification process.
  • Strong understanding of employment-based visa categories.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
