Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in New York City is seeking a mid-level associate to join its litigation practice. This role offers a dynamic hybrid work arrangement and is ideal for an attorney with prior litigation experience looking to further develop hands-on trial and case management skills in a collaborative environment. The firm handles a broad array of complex matters for corporate and individual clients, with a focus on civil defense litigation.

Duties:

• Manage litigation matters from initial intake through final resolution

• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and memoranda

• Participate in all phases of discovery, including depositions, document review, and expert coordination

• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and motions

• Develop legal strategies in collaboration with supervising partners and senior associates

• Maintain strong communication with clients, opposing counsel, and team members

• Support trial preparation and trial execution as necessary

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience in civil or criminal litigation

• Prior exposure to product liability, premises liability, or general liability cases is strongly preferred

• Demonstrated ability to manage litigation files independently

• Admission to the New York Bar is required

• Bar admission in New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active and good standing with the New York State Bar

• Additional Bar admissions in NJ and/or PA are advantageous

Skills:

• Exceptional legal writing and oral argument skills

• Strong organizational and time management abilities

• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively

• Adept at multitasking across active litigation dockets

• Professional demeanor with excellent client service orientation
