Associate Attorney needed for Kansas City office

A law firm in Kansas City, MO is seeking an Associate Attorney to collaborate with the legal team, ensuring the highest standard of legal services are provided to each client. The candidate will also provide direction and supervision to non-attorney staff, manage personal injury caseloads, interact and negotiate with insurance companies, maintain positive client relationships, and draft legal documents.

Duties:

• Collaborate with the legal team to share knowledge and expertise.
• Provide direction and supervision to non-attorney staff to ensure adherence to all laws and regulations.
• Manage personal injury caseloads through the pre-litigation claim process.
• Interact and negotiate with insurance companies.
• Communicate and maintain positive client relationships.
• Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and other legal documents as required.
• Ensure accuracy of all documents prepared.
• Comply with all legal standards and regulations.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of civil practice experience.
• Active Bar license in Missouri.
• Preferably active Bar license in Kansas.
• Proficiency in Spanish.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar license in Missouri.
• Preferably active Bar license in Kansas.

Skills:

• Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs - Excel, Word, etc. and tech-savvy.
• Proficiency in Spanish.
