Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A respected national law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join its team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role involves handling a variety of complex litigation matters, including mortgage-related disputes, consumer and retail banking claims, credit card litigation, and broader commercial litigation matters. Location:

• Charlotte, NC

Duties:

• Represent clients in mortgage litigation, banking and consumer finance disputes, and general commercial litigation

• Manage a high volume of cases with responsibility for all phases of litigation

• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda

• Engage in negotiation and dispute resolution with opposing counsel

• Attend court hearings, mediations, and depositions as needed

• Maintain strong client communication and contribute to litigation strategy

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, particularly in:

  • Mortgage-related or financial services disputes

  • Consumer finance or credit card litigation

  • General commercial litigation

• Ability to manage multiple active matters efficiently

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic credentials required

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in North Carolina (required)

• South Carolina Bar admission is preferred but not required

Skills:

• Legal research, drafting, and analytical reasoning

• Strong verbal and written communication

• Proficiency in litigation software tools and case management systems

• Team collaboration with partners and clients
