Litigation Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney for their New York City office with 12-18 years of commercial litigation experience. The candidate will be responsible for representing clients in commercial litigation matters, providing legal advice and guidance, and managing all aspects of the litigation process.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and arbitrations
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation process
• Manage case deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks
• Supervise junior attorneys and legal staff as needed

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New York State Bar
• 12-18 years of experience practicing commercial litigation
• Strong knowledge of civil procedure and evidence rules
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated track record of successful case outcomes
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
