Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid- to senior-level associate to join its telecommunications practice in New York City, NY. The role involves advising domestic and international clients on commercial, regulatory, and transactional matters within the digital infrastructure ecosystem.

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate commercial infrastructure agreements, including terrestrial, subsea, and space-based services.
  • Advise clients on licensing for satellite and spectrum initiatives.
  • Provide regulatory guidance on telecommunications, wireless, space, and submarine cable matters.
  • Conduct due diligence and structure commercial arrangements bridging technology and policy.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in commercial contracting and transactions.
  • Experience in telecommunications, digital infrastructure, or technology sectors preferred.
  • Strong commercial drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with telecommunications regulatory frameworks is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in good standing.
