Job Overview:

The Criminal Defense Attorney will represent clients facing criminal charges, providing legal counsel, representation, and strategic guidance throughout the legal process. They will handle various federal, state, and local cases, advocating for clients' rights and pursuing the best possible outcomes.

Duties:

• Advise clients on their legal rights and draw up legal documents related to their cases.
• Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide post-hearing advice on strategic approaches.
• Managed court appearances and trials, drafted motions, interviewed witnesses, and conducted legal research.
• Analyze probable case outcomes using knowledge of legal precedents.
• Effectively manage the workload of cases, prioritizing tasks and deadlines.
• Provide comprehensive legal analysis to clients to assess potential case benefits.
• Gather additional evidence to support clients' cases or challenge prosecution charges.
• Prepare clients for depositions, strategize case goals, and gather information from witnesses and experts.
• Collaborate with fellow associates, contributing to team strategies and support.

Requirements:

• Experience handling complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of California or eligibility for admission.
