A law firm in Washington, DC, seeks a skilled Mid-Level/Senior Private Equity Debt Finance Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience and will be responsible for representing private equity sponsors, banks, and private credit lenders in various financial transactions.

Duties:

  • Represent private equity sponsors, banks, and private credit lenders in term and revolving loan facilities for leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, and corporate growth.
  • Draft and negotiate commitment papers, credit agreements, and collateral documents.
  • Provide legal advice and support on debt finance matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis as needed.
  • Collaborate with partners and clients to achieve desired outcomes.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in debt finance transactions.
  • Experience representing private equity sponsors and/or banks in financial transactions preferred.
  • Outstanding academic credentials from a reputable law school.
  • Admitted to the Bar in Washington, DC, or eligible for prompt admission.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Relevant Bar admission in Washington, DC (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating legal documents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
