Family Law Associate Attorney

A law firm in Bellevue is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of practical experience in family law matters, including litigation. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling various family law cases, from paternity and adoption to dissolution, minor guardianships, custody, and child support issues. The role requires excellent case management skills, deposition experience, motions practice, trial experience, and effective communication with clients and stakeholders.

Job Details:

• Handle family law matters, including paternity, adoption, dissolution, minor guardianships, custody, and child support issues.
• Utilize law firm and case management experience, including deposition, motions practice, and trial experience.
• Draft legal documents, including letters, pleadings (Petitions, Parenting Plans, Motions), briefs, property settlement agreements, and more.
• Conduct written discovery and depositions.
• Prepare for and appear at court, mediation, and settlement negotiations.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with clients.
• Market legal services to prospective clients.
• Maintain a well-respected reputation with clients, opposing counsel, judges, court staff, and colleagues.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
• Membership in the Washington State Bar Association.
• 2-5 years of practical experience in family law matters, including litigation.
