Law and Motion Attorney

Job Overview:

A prominent law firm is seeking a skilled Law and Motion Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to prepare high-quality legal briefs for personal injury matters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting persuasive motions such as motions for summary judgment, motions to strike, demurrers, motions in limine, discovery motions, and other related papers. This position requires strong legal writing skills, the ability to analyze and synthesize case facts, and the ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects.

Location:

• Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

• Prepare persuasive legal briefs to support clients’ positions in personal injury matters

• Draft motions for summary judgment, motions to strike, demurrers, motions in limine, discovery motions, meet and confer letters, IDC statements, and other related documents

• Analyze case facts and information, and collaborate with supervising attorneys to develop legal strategies

• Draft original briefs that clearly communicate the relevant facts of a case to the applicable legal criteria

• Work closely with multiple attorneys and paralegals to support various writing projects

• Create organizational charts, graphs, and other collateral materials to support legal documents

• Prioritize multiple concurrent projects and meet rolling deadlines

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in personal injury law (Preferred)

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills (Required)

• Experience in drafting legal motions, briefs, and discovery documents (Required)

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines (Required)

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills (Required)

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school (Required)

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in California (Required)
