A law firm in Chelmsford, MA, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 4-10 years of experience to join their team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing for and attending court proceedings, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and maintaining case files. Strong organizational, research, writing, and advocacy skills are essential for this role.

 

Duties:

  • Prepare for and attend court proceedings, trials, hearings, and mediations in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
  • Perform legal research using Lexis-Nexis or similar platforms.
  • Draft a variety of legal documents, including notices, pleadings, motions, and affidavits.
  • Conduct discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and depositions.
  • Maintain case files and adhere to court requirements.
  • Communicate directly with clients and handle client inquiries.
  • Assume responsibility for managing and prioritizing their own case list.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in Massachusetts and New Hampshire is preferred.
  • Minimum of 4-10 years of legal experience.
  • Strong organizational and personal skills.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle a high volume of cases.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in Massachusetts and New Hampshire is preferred.
