Job Overview: A law firm seeks a skilled and experienced Casualty Associate Attorney to handle a diverse caseload involving premises and retail liability, product liability, rideshare liability, construction defect and injury, public entity and civil rights, commercial auto, and commercial trucking cases for Fortune 500 clients. The role requires adeptness in litigating cases with varying complexity, including those involving catastrophic losses and multiple claimants.

Duties:

  • Handle a diverse caseload of litigation matters encompassing premises and retail liability, product liability, rideshare liability, construction defect and injury, public entity and civil rights, commercial auto, and commercial trucking cases.
  • Conducted legal research and analysis and drafted motions, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Collaborate with partners, clients, and experts to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Maintain organized case files, track deadlines, and adhere to procedural requirements.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on matters related to casualty litigation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in casualty litigation.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in Florida.
  • Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Florida State Bar.

Skills:

  • Litigation experience with a focus on casualty cases.
  • Legal research and writing proficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
