A law firm in Sanford, FL, is seeking a Health Law Attorney who possesses excellent written and oral communication skills, proficiency in computer skills, outstanding academic credentials, solid research and writing abilities, strong interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in health law matters.
  • Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with medical malpractice cases and/or business/transactional litigation matters.
  • Navigate federal and Florida health care administrative laws.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Utilize computerized legal research tools, such as Westlaw.
  • Participate in depositions and trials as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited Law School.
  • Admission to practice in Florida.
  • Preferred experience in medical malpractice or business/transactional litigation.
  • Familiarity with federal and Florida health care administrative laws.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Strong logic and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Deposition and trial experience preferred.

 

Education & Certifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited Law School.

 

Skills:

  • Proficient in computer skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Competency in legal research using Westlaw.
  • Experience with medical malpractice or business/transactional litigation is a plus.
