A law firm in Burbank, CA is seeking a Landlord/Tenant Lawyer with a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree, a current law license, and at least 3 years of experience in real estate litigation. The ideal candidate must possess excellent negotiation, communication, and networking skills and should be well-versed in property management, land use, title insurance, business law, and residential and commercial real estate law.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in court or before government agencies.
  • Advise clients on business and legal transactions.
  • Negotiate settlements for legal disputes.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
  • Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
  • Handle residential and commercial landlord-tenant-related disputes, potentially leading to litigation.
  • Serve the best interests of clients during real estate closings, disputes, and litigation.
  • Coordinate detailed due diligence and inspect legal documents for accuracy.
  • Cooperate with city boards and agencies to obtain permits and resolve zoning issues.
  • Negotiate real estate transaction terms and facilitate title transfers.
  • Oversee support staff such as paralegals and clerks.

 

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in real estate litigation, residential or commercial real estate law, or corporate counsel for a real estate development firm.
  • Current membership in the local Bar association and a valid law license in the state.
  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Excellent research, negotiation, networking, and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of property management, land use, title insurance, and business law.
