A law firm based in Sarasota is seeking a Corporate Partner with expertise in Employee Benefits matters, contract review, and corporate resolutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong drafting and communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently within deadlines. Membership with the Florida Bar or in the process of becoming one is required. A portable book of business is highly preferred.

 

Job Duties:

  • Provide expertise in Employee Benefits matters including defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans, 401k plans, and profit-sharing plans.
  • Review contracts related to corporate transactions and client agreements.
  • Handle corporate resolutions and related legal documentation.
  • Manage client relationships and provide strategic legal advice.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff members on complex legal matters.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends.

 

Requirements:

  • Membership with the Florida Bar or in the process of becoming one.
  • 8+ years of experience practicing law, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Proven expertise in Employee Benefits matters and corporate law.
  • Strong drafting and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work effectively within deadlines.
  • Portable book of business is highly preferred.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Florida Bar.
