Associate Attorney needed for Washington, D.C. office

Washington, D.C. office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an associate attorney, preferably with 2-3 years of experience in a litigation environment. The candidate will work under the general supervision of the principals of the firm and will assist in all phases of trial and appellate work, from the initial preparation of cases through trial and appeal. Must be an active/current member of the District of Columbia Bar. Additional Bar memberships are preferred (i.e., Virginia and/or Maryland). Should preferably also possess law review or journal experience; judicial clerkships. Must have knowledge of and familiarity with general legal principles in contracts, torts, and constitutional law; rules of evidence; court and trial procedures; and methods and requirements of legal discovery and legal research.

The candidate should preferably have excellent writing and research skills; and the ability to analyze and manage case files with an emphasis on planning, developing, and providing creative solutions to resolving cases. Must communicate clearly orally and in writing; be able to organize workload, prioritize tasks, and work under strict deadlines and under the pressures of the litigation environment.
