Litigation Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join their team in Mesa, AZ. The ideal candidate will hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice law in AZ.

Job Overview:

The Litigation Attorney will conduct legal research, draft legal documents, represent clients in court, negotiate settlements, and provide legal advice. The candidate must possess strong communication skills, excellent research abilities, and proficiency in legal administrative software.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings
• Negotiate settlements and plea agreements on behalf of clients
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop case strategies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their rights and obligations
• Stay current with changes in laws and regulations that may impact client cases

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in AZ
• Preferably 1-2 years of experience practicing law, preferably in civil litigation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent research and analytical abilities
• Proficiency in legal administrative software (e.g., Lexis-Nexis)
• Demonstrated ability to draft legal documents and conduct legal research
• Proven track record of success in litigating cases
