A law firm in Houston is seeking a Patent Attorney with 3+ years of patent prosecution experience to counsel clients on all aspects of intellectual property, with an emphasis on patent prosecution. The ideal candidate must be an active member in good standing of the Patent Bar.

 

Duties:

  • Counsel clients on intellectual property matters, particularly patent prosecution.
  • Draft and prosecute patent applications before the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Conduct patentability searches and provide opinions on patent validity and infringement.
  • Advise clients on patent portfolio management and strategy.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews for intellectual property transactions.
  • Assist with intellectual property litigation matters as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of patent prosecution experience.
  • Active member in good standing of the Patent Bar.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Patent Bar.
