A leading international law firm is seeking a talented Commercial Litigation Associate to join its Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of strong commercial litigation experience, particularly in California state and federal courts. Duties

• Draft and respond to complaints and pleadings in commercial litigation matters

• Take lead responsibility for drafting discovery responses and handling discovery disputes

• Draft and argue pre-trial motions, including motions to dismiss/demurrers, motions for summary judgment, and discovery-related motions

• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda and briefs

• Take and defend depositions

• Assist with trial preparation and participate in trials as needed

• Maintain direct communication with clients and manage case timelines effectively

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of commercial litigation experience

• Substantial experience with California state and federal court procedures

• Hands-on experience managing all aspects of litigation

• Experience taking and defending depositions strongly preferred

• Trial or significant trial preparation experience is a plus

• Strong commitment to client service and teamwork

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

• Stellar academic credentials required

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in the State of California
