Business Transactions Attorney

A law firm in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Business Transactions Attorney with extensive experience to advise clients on various business legal matters. The candidate will manage their own caseload, formulate creative solutions to complex legal issues, and build long-term relationships with clients.

Job Details:

• Meet with and advise clients on business legal matters such as intellectual property, entity formation, contract law, commercial leases, and asset protection
• Manage own caseload with little supervision, ensuring efficient case handling and communication with clients and staff
• Formulate creative solutions to complex legal issues while prioritizing client interests
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with business clients, serving as a trusted advisor
• Collaborate with Estate Planning attorneys on business succession, estate, and tax planning matters
• Identify ongoing business and legal needs of clients
• Supervise the firm's entity maintenance program and review legal documents prepared by staff
• Advise clients on trademark applications and commercial real estate transactions
• Analyze and negotiate contracts with third parties and attorneys
• Perform legal research to assist clients in case evaluations and strategies
• Contribute to firm efficiency and development of processes and procedures
• Perform additional related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• License to practice law in California after passing the Bar exam
• 8+ years of in-depth experience as an attorney in Business Law
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
• Comfort with technology platforms such as Wealth Counsel, ActionStep, Lexis Nexis, and Gavel
• Strong legal research skills
• Fluency in Spanish preferred
