A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney in Maitland, FL. The attorney will represent clients in civil litigation cases, conduct legal research and analysis, draft legal documents, negotiate settlements, prepare for and attend court hearings and trials, communicate with clients and opposing counsel, and manage case files. The role requires strong litigation skills, proficiency in legal research and drafting, excellent negotiation skills, exceptional communication skills, and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in civil litigation cases.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Prepare for and attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the court throughout the litigation process.
  • Manage case files and maintain accurate and organized documentation.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in the state.
  • Proven experience in civil litigation.
  • Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

  • Strong litigation skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis using resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
  • Excellent legal drafting skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
