Commercial Finance Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Commercial Finance Associate Attorney for its Chicago office, with a focus on candidates with 5+ years of experience in drafting, negotiating, and closing commercial lending transactions. The ideal candidate should possess a firm understanding of issues involved in Article 9 secured transactions and have significant experience in drafting and negotiating inter-creditor agreements.

Duties:

• Draft, negotiate, and close commercial lending transactions.
• Demonstrate a firm understanding of issues related to Article 9 secured transactions.
• Gain meaningful experience in drafting and negotiating inter-creditor agreements.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in the drafting, negotiation, and closing of commercial lending transactions.
• Strong understanding of issues involved in Article 9 secured transactions.
• Significant experience in drafting and negotiating inter-creditor agreements.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with tax-advantaged financing.
• Familiarity with various tax credits.
• Exposure to real estate transactions.
• Involvement in mergers and acquisitions.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications:

Relevant certifications in commercial finance or related fields are a plus.

Skills:

• Proficient in drafting, negotiating, and closing commercial lending transactions.
• Strong understanding of Article 9 secured transactions.
• Ability to draft and negotiate inter-creditor agreements.
