A law firm in Washington, DC is seeking a Mid/Senior Level Public M&A Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have general M&A and transactional experience, with a focus on M&A transactions involving public companies and related securities laws. Outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

 

Job Overview:

  • Handling M&A transactions involving public companies
  • Advising clients on securities laws and regulations
  • Collaborating with team members on transactional matters

 

Duties:

  • Conducting due diligence and drafting transactional documents for M&A deals
  • Advising clients on legal and regulatory issues related to public company transactions
  • Negotiating and structuring M&A transactions on behalf of clients
  • Drafting and reviewing securities filings and disclosure documents
  • Managing client relationships and communicating effectively with stakeholders
  • Assisting with corporate governance matters as needed

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Bar in Washington, DC, or eligibility to obtain admission promptly
  • 3-6 years of experience in M&A and transactional law, preferably with a focus on public company transactions
  • Strong understanding of securities laws and regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding academic credentials and law firm experience

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in Washington, DC, or eligibility to obtain admission promptly

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating transactional documents
  • Knowledge of securities laws and regulations relevant to public company transactions
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
