Personal Injury Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is currently seeking a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney with 2-5 years of general defense or plaintiff litigation experience. The successful candidate will handle a litigation caseload from inception through trial or resolution, conduct extensive case-related research, negotiate on behalf of clients, and manage litigation dockets with a strategic approach. Strong communication skills, commitment to exceptional client service, and a willingness to participate in business development efforts are crucial for success.

Job Details:

• Handle litigation caseload from inception through trial or resolution.
• Conduct extensive case-related research into relevant laws and regulations.
• Negotiate on behalf of clients and draft/interpret contracts and legal documents.
• Attend court hearings and trials, prepare pleadings and letters, handle discovery requests, and take depositions.
• Draft motions, responses, and other filings in state and federal court cases.
• Appear in court, take and defend depositions, and interact with clients.
• Manage litigation dockets with an understanding of scheduling orders and case strategy.
• Handle discovery matters, including requests, responses, and motions.
• Investigate facts with an innovative and pragmatic approach.
• Preferably have specific exposure to personal injury and property damage litigation.

Requirements:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to exceptional client service.
• Quality written work product and research skills.
• Significant experience with written and electronic discovery.
• Experience taking and defending depositions, as well as trial preparation and participation.
• Commitment to exceptional client service and an interest in business development efforts.
• Management experience is a plus.
• Active and in good standing with the FL State Bar.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Experience:

2-5 years of general defense or plaintiff litigation experience looking to gain trial experience.
