A law firm in Orlando, FL, is actively seeking an Entry-level Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced attorneys, gain hands-on experience in personal injury cases, and actively participate in managing a diverse caseload.

Duties:

  • Collaborate closely with clients to comprehend the extent of their injuries and provide legal counsel.
  • Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel on behalf of clients.
  • Represent clients in court during personal injury proceedings.
  • Manage a caseload of personal injury cases, encompassing auto accidents, slip and falls, premises liability claims, and wrongful death cases.
  • Draft and respond to discovery, motions, and various legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and writing to support case strategies.
  • Collaborate with experts from medical and other disciplines, assisting with report drafting and deposition preparation.

Requirements:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Florida State Bar.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience or a recent law school graduate.
  • Experience in pre-suit and litigating personal injury on the plaintiff's side is a plus.
  • Experience drafting and responding to motions is an asset.
  • Substantial knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.
  • Strong writing and legal research skills.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English skills are advantageous.
  • Attorneys with a portable caseload will receive preferential consideration.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Florida State Bar.

Skills:

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload.
  • Collaborative approach in working with experts and clients.
