Junior Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Junior Litigation Associate to join its Litigation Practice in Washington, D.C. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated attorney with one to three years of experience in litigation who is looking to build a strong foundation in commercial and regulatory matters. Location:

• Washington, D.C.

Duties:

• Draft pleadings, motions, and other court filings

• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex litigation issues

• Prepare and respond to discovery requests

• Assist with and manage document collection and review projects

• Engage directly with clients and partners on active matters

• Support a wide range of commercial and regulatory litigation cases

• Develop litigation skills with a path toward managing complex matters independently

Requirements:

• 1–3 years of litigation experience in a law firm or relevant legal setting

• Experience drafting legal documents, conducting discovery, and performing legal research

• Strong interpersonal skills and eagerness to take on increasing responsibility

• Clerkship experience (district court and/or appellate) preferred

• Prior experience in document management and review processes

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law and in good standing (preferably admitted in the District of Columbia or eligible for admission)

Skills:

• Excellent legal writing and research abilities

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple assignments

• Capable of working collaboratively with colleagues and clients
