Litigation Of Counsel

A law firm seeks a Litigation Of Counsel to join their Short Hills, NJ team. This position offers an opportunity to work on complex commercial litigation cases focusing on product liability. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in litigation, preferably gained from an AmLaw 100 firm, and must possess a science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology). Strong research, analytical, and writing skills and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate the capacity to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and adhere to strict deadlines.

Job Overview:

• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in complex commercial litigation matters, with a focus on product liability.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.

Duties:

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence promptly.
• Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
• Successfully meet deadlines and expectations.
• Foster positive work relationships.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
• Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Background in science (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology).
• Superior research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Experience with pharmaceutical and medical device industry clients (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent multitasking and prioritization abilities.
• JD degree.
• NJ Bar admission.
• Direct AmLaw 100 law firm experience.
• Strong academic background from nationally recognized schools.
