The candidate must have familiarity with various acts and laws related to financial services and must be prepared to take on significant responsibility in managing matters and interacting with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.

 

Duties:

  • Work on commercial litigation matters involving financial services institutions.
  • Handle cases under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act, Fair Credit Report Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Truth In Lending Act, and state unfair practices laws.
  • Assume significant responsibility in managing cases and interacting with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to financial services laws and regulations.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs.
  • Prepare for and participate in trials and appellate proceedings.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the California Bar.
  • 4-6 years of litigation experience with financial institutions.
  • Familiarity with laws and regulations governing financial services.
  • Excellent academic credentials, writing, and analytical skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Active membership in the California Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Strong litigation experience with financial institutions.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including the Electronic Fund Transfer Act, Fair Credit Report Act, and others.
