Job Overview:
A small but dynamic general practice law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its Center City Philadelphia office. The firm handles a mix of litigation and transactional matters, with a notable focus on representing casinos and businesses nationwide. This role is ideal for a motivated attorney with strong communication skills and a completed civil judicial clerkship in New Jersey. The position offers hands-on experience across various practice areas, mentorship, and meaningful opportunities for professional growth in a relaxed, team-oriented environment.

Location:

  • Philadelphia, PA

Duties:

  • Represent clients in litigation matters including court appearances and depositions

  • Conduct discovery and manage case files

  • Perform legal research and draft briefs, motions, and correspondence

  • Negotiate settlements and assist with dispute resolution

  • Participate in real estate transactions, contract drafting, and other non-litigation matters

  • Collaborate closely with clients and colleagues on complex legal issues

Requirements:

  • Completion of a civil judicial law clerkship in a New Jersey State court

  • Licensed to practice in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey (preferred); New York license also considered

  • Ability to manage responsibilities in both litigation and transactional work

  • Willingness to work on a variety of legal matters and contribute to a team environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active bar admission in New Jersey and Pennsylvania (New York also considered)

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills

  • Effective verbal communication and courtroom presence

  • Outgoing personality and client-service orientation

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to learn new practice areas

  • Proficient negotiation and interpersonal skills
