Job Overview: A law firm in Charlottesville, VA, is seeking a Junior Environmental And Mass Tort Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of experience in incident response, product liability litigation, and/or energy litigation. Current judicial clerks will also be considered. Duties:

  • Handle every aspect of environmental and mass tort litigation, including contaminated site clean-ups, due diligence reviews, renewable fuel approvals, and nanotechnology issues.
  • Conduct incident response activities related to environmental and mass tort matters.
  • Participate in product liability litigation and energy litigation cases.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in environmental and mass tort litigation, incident response, product liability litigation, and/or energy litigation.
  • Current judicial clerks will be considered.
  • Excellent academic credentials.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a sophisticated law firm environment.
  • Judicial clerkship experience.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • WV, KY, OH, AZ, IN, or TN Bar license (considered a plus).

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills.
