A law firm in Omaha is seeking an Immigration Attorney to represent clients in removal court and family immigration cases, with the following qualifications:

 

Job Overview:

  • Provide legal representation to immigration clients in removal court proceedings and family immigration matters.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required for effective communication with clients.
  • Preference for candidates licensed to practice law in Nebraska or Iowa.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in immigration court hearings, appeals, and administrative proceedings.
  • Prepare and file immigration petitions, applications, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct client interviews, gather evidence, and assess eligibility for immigration relief.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel on immigration matters, including visa applications and deportation defense strategies.
  • Stay updated on changes in immigration laws, regulations, and policies.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law and good standing before a State Bar, preferably in Nebraska or Iowa.
  • Fluency in Spanish for effective communication with clients.
  • Immigration law experience is preferred; however, training will be provided as needed.
