Duties

  • Draft and review probate documents, including applications and court filings.
  • Attend probate hearings in person and virtually.

  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies.
  • Review and provide feedback on work from paralegals and legal assistants.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience as an attorney, preferably in probate law.
  • Strong attention to detail and interest in probate law.
  • Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Effective communication skills with clients and colleagues.
  • Familiarity with Lexis, Clio, and other legal software tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Texas state bar and eligibility to practice law in Texas.
