Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Estate Planning Partnership Track Associate to join their Houston, TX office. This role requires a minimum of three years of experience in estate planning, strong communication skills, and the ability to guide clients through both routine and complex legal matters.

Duties

  • Provide comprehensive estate planning services, including drafting wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Advise clients on wealth preservation, tax planning, and estate administration.
  • Assist clients through probate proceedings and related legal processes.
  • Guide clients in asset distribution and estate plan execution.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, especially in probate-related matters.
  • Educate clients on retirement planning, charitable donations, and insurance options.
  • Maintain accurate and organized client files.
  • Collaborate with clients to design tailored estate plans.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as an estate planning attorney.
  • Strong background in drafting wills and trusts.
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Texas.
  • In-depth knowledge of estate planning, probate, and tax laws.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining strong client relationships.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
